Biography

DR KEN OKWAE FENING (1975)

Dr. Ken Okwae Fening is currently a Senior Research Fellow (Agricultural Entomologist) at the Soil and Irrigation Research Centre, and a lecturer at the African Regional Postgraduate Programme in Insect Science (ARPPIS), University of Ghana. He was formerly a Research Scientist (Entomologist) at the CSIR- Crops Research Institute, Ghana.

Dr. Fening has over 10 years of teaching and  research experience, and has largely focused on developing pest management interventions that are compatible with Organic Agriculture. He has been an active  member of the International Society of Organic Agriculture Research (ISOFAR), since 2011. Dr. Fening is currently the Vice President of EOAP-G.

His expertise also extends to Sanitary and Phytosanitary issues, including the management of insect pests of quarantine importance in vegetables for export. He has offered practical solutions to farmers, regulatory authorities and training of students.
