Biography

Olawumi is an organic farmer and consultant currently the Participatory Guarantee System (PGS) coordinator in Ghana employed as a consultant by IFOAM-Organics International under the OM4D project.

Olawumi has 10 years of experience, research, training, learning, practicing and teaching others in Organic agriculture starting from 2009 with training at Coventry University UK Organic farm, GROW Biointensive center US, among other short and long trainings acquired for the organic journey.

In 2017, she started an NGO with her husband named GROW West Africa (www.growwestafrica) whose primary objective is to teach and train farmers, youth and urban dwellers different organic practices and Urban organic farming available. The NGO has an Organic Farm for crops and livestock suited around Wenchi, Bono region of Ghana.

She is currently the West Africa conveyor for Internetwork of Organic Farmers Organization (INOFO) a subsidiary under IFOAM-Organic International, she is a member of many organic networks, International Society of Organic Agriculture Research (ISOFAR), NOAN, EOAP-G among other networks.
