Education

  • Bsc Agriculture (Crop Science) University of Ghana Legon 1992
  • Mphil Crop Science (Entomology) University of Ghana 1998
  • Environmental Auditor ISO 18001 Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Lausanne 1999 (course and thesis in only in French)

Experience in Organic Agriculture

  • Mphil thesis using Basilius thuriengesis (organic pathogen) in the control of diamond black moth Plutellla xylostella in cabbage fields in Weija in 1993-1994
  • Founder and CEO of Wad African Foods limited, export of small-scale farmers products to Europe year since 2000
  • Founder and CEO of Wad Patrick Deegbe in Switzerland for the import of Small-scale farmers products from Ghana since 2001
  • Certification of organic production of farmers in Ghana and imports since 2004
  • Collaboration with FAO in alleviating of poverty through the export of Organic and fair-trade products 2004-2006
  • Adding value to organic Agriculture products (processing into dry fruits) for export and the first to dry fruits in Ghana for export since 2003
  • A farmer with the wide variety of certified organic products (over 8o acres of certified own farm and more than 10 products) in Ghana 2013
  • Company exports to Switzerland, Europe (Germany, Italy), USA and Japan
  • Company certified EU organic, NOP (USA), JAS (Japan) and BIO Suisse private label as well as FLO fairtrade
  • Weekly and /or monthly exports of organic products by air or sea from Ghana to import countries in Europe, USA and Japan
